The global hype around the Netflix animation K‑Pop Demon Hunters is officially reaching the next level. This time, the phenomenon has expanded beyond streaming into real-world pop culture — and even fast food.
According to the official announcement from Netflix and McDonald’s, the two companies are preparing a special collaboration menu in the United States inspired by the hit K-pop animation that has already created a global fandom.
Huntix vs. Saja Boys — The Viral Collaboration Is Finally Real
McDonald’s released teaser videos through its official X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube accounts, featuring members of Huntix and Saja Boys appearing in a parody-style fan-sign event scene from the movie.
In the video, the two groups compete to win fans’ hearts — recreating one of the most iconic fan-meeting moments from K-Pop Demon Hunters. The clip instantly went viral among global K-pop and animation fans, proving that the film’s popularity is still growing even after its release.
Not a Kids Meal — A Full Korean-Inspired Menu for Global Fans
Unlike typical character collaborations, this menu is not a Happy Meal for kids. Instead, it’s a full menu lineup inspired by Korean flavors and the personalities of the characters.
The Saja Boys Set (McMorning Menu)
The “Saja Boys Set” will be available as a breakfast-style menu and includes:
- Spicy Saja McMuffin (inspired by the fire of the demon king “Guima”)
- Hash brown
- Drink
McDonald’s even described the hash brown as “crispy outside and soft inside — just like Saja Boys leader Jinwoo,” showing how deeply the collaboration connects to the characters.
The Huntix Set (Main Menu)
The Huntix version focuses more on Korean-style snacks and bold flavors:
- McShaker ramen fries (Korean-style seasoning with soy sauce, garlic, and sesame)
- 10-piece McNuggets
- Hunter sauce (sweet chili + garlic flavor)
- Demon sauce (purple mustard sauce with a spicy and sour kick)
- Drink
The ramen fries are already getting attention online because they were inspired by the snacks that Lumi, Mira, and Joy love in the movie.
Limited Photocard Packs Are Included
The biggest reason global fans are excited may actually be the bonus items.
Each collaboration set will include a limited-edition photocard pack that gives fans early access to exclusive content connected to K-Pop Demon Hunters. This strategy is similar to how K-pop albums work — and fans are already calling it “the first fast-food photocard collection trend.”
A New Level of K-Pop Animation Popularity
Netflix explained that the collaboration was designed to “connect fans with the emotional impact of the movie through real-world experiences inspired by Korean McDonald’s flavors.”
In other words, K-Pop Demon Hunters is no longer just an animation. It’s becoming a full global cultural brand — combining K-pop, storytelling, fandom culture, and now even food collaborations.
KOREA FBI Editor’s Comment
This collaboration proves something very important: K-pop is no longer limited to music. When an animated film like K-Pop Demon Hunters can influence global fast-food menus, it means K-culture storytelling is entering a completely new era.
If this trend continues, we may soon see more K-pop-inspired movies turning into real-world global brands.
