Rising K-pop girl group RESCENE has taken the No. 1 spot on the Idol Chart Acha Ranking, beating major names including BIGBANG, aespa, Jennie, and BTS.

According to the fifth-week August Acha Ranking, covering August 31 to September 6 and announced on September 8, RESCENE earned a total of 20,974 points.

The group recorded 1,165 music points, 10,329 YouTube points, and 9,480 social points, securing the top position with a strong performance across digital and social platforms.

RESCENE Beats BIGBANG and Major K-pop Acts

RESCENE’s No. 1 ranking is particularly impressive considering the heavyweight K-pop artists behind them.

BIGBANG ranked second with 16,937 points, followed by aespa with 11,656 points and BLACKPINK’s Jennie with 9,783 points.

Other artists in the Top 10 included:

  • CORTIS — 9,712 points
  • Hearts2Hearts — 8,893 points
  • KiiiKiii — 7,425 points
  • BTS — 6,419 points
  • ILLIT — 6,399 points
  • TWICE — 6,240 points

For a relatively young girl group, RESCENE’s victory over established K-pop powerhouses highlights the group’s rapidly growing popularity.

‘LOVE ATTACK’ Brings RESCENE Back Into the Spotlight

RESCENE first made a strong impression on K-pop fans with “LOVE ATTACK,” the title track from their first mini album “SCENEDROME,” released in 2024.

The song experienced a major viral resurgence through music streaming platforms and short-form video content. Its renewed popularity helped introduce RESCENE to a much wider audience and significantly increased the group’s visibility.

The momentum continued with their follow-up track “Pretty Girl,” which also gained attention and helped establish RESCENE as one of the most talked-about rising acts among the 5th-generation K-pop girl groups.

With their latest Acha Ranking achievement, RESCENE are proving that their rise is more than a short-lived viral moment.

RESCENE’s Rapid Rise in 5th-Generation K-pop

The K-pop industry is currently seeing fierce competition among a new generation of girl groups. While established acts continue to dominate global charts, younger groups are increasingly building fandoms through streaming platforms, YouTube, social media, and short-form content.

RESCENE’s No. 1 position demonstrates how quickly a rising group can gain momentum when music and social media trends connect with a wider audience.

From the viral comeback of “LOVE ATTACK” to the success of “Pretty Girl,” RESCENE are steadily strengthening their position as a notable name in the new generation of K-pop.

KOREA FBI Editor’s Comment

RESCENE beating BIGBANG, aespa, Jennie, BTS, and TWICE on the latest Idol Chart Acha Ranking is a major milestone for the rising girl group.

The biggest takeaway is not simply the No. 1 ranking. “LOVE ATTACK” and “Pretty Girl” show how the power of streaming and short-form content can completely change the trajectory of a K-pop song — and even an entire group.

If RESCENE can maintain this momentum with their next release, they could become one of the most exciting 5th-generation K-pop girl groups to watch globally.
