Global K-pop phenomenon BTS turned Stanford Stadium into a sea of purple lights and Korean flags as the group successfully completed three sold-out concerts for their world tour ARIRANG on May 16–17 and 19 (local time).
According to their agency, approximately 152,000 fans attended the performances across the three nights, marking one of the largest stadium concert events of the year in the United States. BTS also made history as only the second music act ever to hold a concert at Stanford Stadium since its opening in 1921, following British rock band Coldplay.
The final night became especially emotional when fans surprised the group during the performance of “Body to Body,” a track from BTS’s fifth full-length album ARIRANG. As the melody of the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang” flowed through the stadium, tens of thousands of fans waved Korean flags and sang together in a powerful singalong moment that stunned both the members and audience.
BTS members expressed deep gratitude during the closing ment, saying they were experiencing “the best moments” of their lives and would never forget the fan event prepared for them. They also promised to remember every moment until they meet fans again on the next stop of the tour.
The ARIRANG world tour is currently one of the largest K-pop tours ever organized, spanning 85 concerts across 34 cities worldwide. The tour continues to demonstrate BTS’s unmatched global influence and the growing cultural power of K-pop on the international stage.
