If you’ve ever wandered through Westfield London, Europe’s biggest shopping mall you’ve probably seem the massive crowd in front of a super-aesthetic beauty store with “PURESEOUL”on it. Yep, that’s the one the new heart of K-beauty in the UK.
When this Korean skincare paradise opened more than 1,000 people showed up. Some queued before opening time others rushed to grab limited editions and posted their hauls all over TikTok and insta.
And here’s the twist – PURESEOUL wasm’t started by Koreans. It was created by two British beauty lovers who fell in love with K-beauty so deeply that they decided to bring it home to the UK.
The Beginning of PURESEOUL
PURESEOUL’s story started with one woman’s skin struggles.
Gracie, an illustator and designer had battled acne for years. In the UK, she only got generic advice like “use more mosturizer” — sound familiar ?
Then, during a trip to Seoul in 2017, she experienced a whole new skincare world. “In Korea, people actually listened to my skin concerns,” she said. “I learned how to care for my skin properly.”
When she returned to London, she told her friend Wingie, a makeup artist and total K-beauty fan. Both agreed — it was frustrating to rely on overseas trips just to by authentic Korean cosmetics.
Together with Leslie a fintech expert, they launched PURESEOUL in 2019 — a brand built to introduce authentic, trustworthy Korean skincare to British customers.

PURESEOUL’s Secret 1: Trustworthy Curation
Back then the UK had access to K-beauty online — but many products were fake or unofficial.
Gracie and her team wanted to change that. They test and handpick every product partnering only with genuine Korean beauty brands.
They also help those brands localize for the UK. For example the word “Emulsion” in British English means “paint liquid”, so PURESEOUL suffested using “lotion” insted. They also encouraged brands to expand foundation shades for more diverse skin tones — a move that British customers loved.
Secret 2 : Online + Offline Power
PURESEOUL started as an online K-beauty store with just five brands. But after their 2021 pop-up drew 1,000 visitors, they realized people wanted real-life K-beauty experiences.
Their first store near Covent Garden became an instant hit.
Now, thir “beauty playground” concept brings shoppers in to try, feel and fall in love with K-beauty.
The resuIt ? A flywheel effect — online buzz drives people tostores and in – store experiences drive even more online engagement.
What’s Next for PURESEOUL?
PUERSEOUL isn’t stopping anytime soon. They’re expanding across the UK — including Oxford, Cambridge, and Cradiff — and aiming for 30 stores by 2026.
After that, they plan to bring Korean beauty to the rest of Europe and Middle East.
Leslie says, “We want PRESEOUL to be the ultimate destination for K-beauty in the UK.”\
KOREA FBI’s Take
From Seoul to London, K-beauty isn’t just a trend — it’s a global movement.
PURESEOUL proves how people around the world are embracing the Korean skincare philosophy : gentle, personalized and backed by science.
I believe we’ll start seeing even more beauty brands lauched by global creators who love K-beauty.
Who’s next ? Maybe the next big K-beauty brand will come from Paris, Sydney … or maybe even you?
