Stray Kids are once again proving their status as one of the world’s biggest K-pop groups, sweeping album charts across Europe and Japan with their latest mini album, THIS & THAT.
Released on August 7, THIS & THAT topped major album charts across France, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and Japan. The album reached No. 1 on the French SNEP Top Albums chart, Austria’s Ö3 Top 40 Longplay chart, and Italy’s FIMI Top 100 Albums chart for the week of August 7–13.
The momentum continued across Europe. The album also claimed the top spot on the Dutch Album Top 100, Belgium’s Ultratop Albums Top 200, and Switzerland’s Hitparade Album Top 100. In Japan, THIS & THAT went on to top both the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and Weekly Combined Album Ranking.
The global success is another powerful example of Stray Kids’ ability to dominate “this and that” — and seemingly everything in between.
The group also achieved another historic milestone on the U.S. Billboard charts. THIS & THAT debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 dated August 22, extending Stray Kids’ remarkable record of nine consecutive No. 1 albums on the chart.
With this achievement, Stray Kids now stand alongside the legacy of The Beatles as one of the groups with the most Billboard 200 No. 1 albums in history, while holding the distinction of being the 21st century’s leading group in this category.
The album’s commercial power was equally impressive in South Korea. According to Hanteo Chart, THIS & THAT sold 3,289,269 copies during its first week, making it Stray Kids’ fourth album to surpass the three-million mark in first-week sales.
And the group’s global momentum shows no sign of slowing down.
As part of their Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE> tour, Stray Kids will perform at Tokyo’s National Stadium on August 29 and 30, becoming the first overseas male artist to headline a concert at the iconic venue.
In September, the group will also take the stage at Rock in Rio, one of Brazil’s largest and most internationally recognized music festivals.
From Europe to Japan, and from record-breaking album sales to massive stadium stages, Stray Kids continue to demonstrate why they are firmly established among the world’s top K-pop acts.
KOREA FBI Editor’s Comment
Stray Kids are no longer simply expanding their global reach — they are setting the standard for what a global K-pop group can achieve. With nine consecutive Billboard 200 No. 1 albums, million-selling records, European chart dominance and historic stadium performances in Japan, their “global” status is now backed by numbers.
