South Korea is set to showcase the full power of Korean culture in the United States through the upcoming K-Expo USA 2026, a large-scale cultural and business event taking place in Los Angeles from May 23 to 27.
Hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in cooperation with multiple government ministries, the expo aims to accelerate the global expansion of Korean cultural industries by connecting K-content with sectors such as food, beauty, agriculture and technology.
This year marks the first time the K-Expo series has been held in the United States after previous editions in countries including Vietnam, Thailand, France, Canada, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.
Los Angeles Embraces the Rise of K-Culture
The Los Angeles City Council officially designated K-Expo USA 2026 as a city-supported event, highlighting the rapidly growing influence of Korean culture across North America.
As the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles provides a symbolic stage for Korea’s expanding global soft power. The event also arrives as excitement builds toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will further spotlight Korean entertainment and culture across the continent.
Netflix, Naver Webtoon & KFA Join the Expo
Global streaming giant Netflix will participate with a special exhibition featuring Korean original dramas and films, alongside food products inspired by its intellectual properties. Fans can also explore displays showcasing Korean actors and stars connected to hit Netflix productions.
Meanwhile, Naver Webtoon will host exhibitions themed around food and beauty through its popular webtoon content.
The Korea Football Association will also operate a pavilion centered on the Korean national football team, adding a sports dimension to the K-culture experience.
K-Pop Concerts, Korean Food & Business Networking
Visitors attending K-Expo USA 2026 can experience:

The concert lineup includes Jay Park and P1Harmony, among other artists expected to draw major crowds.
On May 26 and 27, business networking sessions will connect 63 Korean companies from the content and beauty sectors with North American buyers and partners.
Vice Culture Minister Kim Young-soo emphasized the importance of hosting the expo in the United States, calling it a strategic opportunity to expand Korea’s cultural influence in the North American market.
He noted that the Korean government plans to continue cross-ministerial cooperation to help Korean cultural companies strengthen their presence globally.
K-Culture’s Global Expansion Continues
K-Expo USA 2026 reflects how Korean culture has evolved into a powerful global industry spanning entertainment, beauty, food, fashion and technology. From K-dramas and webtoons to football and cosmetics, the event highlights how “K-style” now resonates far beyond Asia.
With major corporations, government institutions and global entertainment platforms participating together, the Los Angeles expo could become one of the biggest K-culture business showcases ever held in North America.
