ENHYPEN has finally reached the top of the U.S. Billboard 200 for the first time since their debut, making history with their eighth mini album, THE SIN : BLISS.
The six-member K-pop boy group topped the Billboard 200 with THE SIN : BLISS, marking their first-ever No. 1 on the chart since debuting in 2020.
According to Billboard’s chart preview released on August 30, THE SIN : BLISS ranked No. 1, beating out Ella Langley at No. 2 and Olivia Rodrigo at No. 3.
The achievement comes after ENHYPEN reorganized from a seven-member to a six-member lineup, making THE SIN : BLISS their first album as a six-member group.
ENHYPEN Becomes Sixth K-pop Boy Group to Top Billboard 200
With this achievement, ENHYPEN becomes the sixth K-pop boy group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
They follow BTS, SuperM, Stray Kids, ATEEZ and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, who have previously topped the chart.
Among K-pop girl groups, BLACKPINK, NewJeans, TWICE and KATSEYE have also reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The soundtrack for Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters has also topped the chart.
ENHYPEN first entered the Billboard 200 in 2021 with BORDER : CARNIVAL. Since then, the group has placed a total of 10 albums on the chart.
Their previous best results came with ROMANCE : UNTOLD and THE SIN : VANISH, both of which peaked at No. 2.
With THE SIN : BLISS, however, ENHYPEN finally claimed the top spot.
The group has also achieved seven consecutive Billboard 200 Top 10 albums, beginning with MANIFESTO : DAY 1.
Nearly 100,000 Album Units Drive ENHYPEN to No. 1
THE SIN : BLISS recorded approximately 98,000 album units during the latest Billboard tracking period.
Physical and digital album sales accounted for the vast majority of the total, with approximately 92,000 album sales.
That figure also placed THE SIN : BLISS at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart for the week.
The album generated around 6,000 SEA units, while TEA contributed only a small amount.
The Billboard 200 combines traditional album sales with streaming-equivalent albums (SEA) and track-equivalent albums (TEA) to determine the weekly rankings.
THE SIN : BLISS Becomes a Major Milestone for ENHYPEN
The achievement is particularly meaningful because THE SIN : BLISS is ENHYPEN’s first release following the group’s transition to a six-member lineup.
The album had already proven its commercial power in South Korea, surpassing 2 million cumulative sales on August 27, according to Hanteo Chart.
That made THE SIN : BLISS another double-million-selling album for ENHYPEN.
The album is the second installment in the group’s THE SIN series, which explores themes inspired by the concept of the seven deadly sins.
Its storyline follows lovers who break a taboo and escape together, eventually confronting the consequences of their journey.
The 10-track album includes the title track “Bloody Paradise” as well as songs such as “Two Fools.”
Stray Kids Also Remain in Billboard 200 Top 10
Other K-pop acts also made an impact on this week’s Billboard 200.
KATSEYE’s WILD, which topped the chart the previous week, fell to No. 6 with approximately 55,000 album units.
Stray Kids’ THIS & THAT ranked No. 8 with approximately 48,000 album units.
Meanwhile, Dolly Parton’s Ultimate Dolly Parton re-entered the Billboard 200 at No. 5 following the legendary country singer’s death on August 25.
For ENHYPEN, however, this week’s chart marks a major turning point.
Six years after their debut, the group has finally conquered the Billboard 200 — proving that their global fandom continues to grow stronger with every release.
