Visitors to Seoul’s Han River this summer can cool off with a unique K-food experience as Choco Emong opens its seasonal “Emong Cool Storage” (에몽 시원함 보관소) pop-up at the Yeouido Hangang Swimming Pool.

The limited-time summer event runs through August 30 at the pool’s cafeteria, welcoming guests daily from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Frozen Choco Emong Becomes Korean-Style Bingsu

The highlight of the pop-up is a special snowflake bingsu made from frozen packs of Emong milk drinks.

Instead of traditional milk ice, the desserts use whole frozen packs of:

  • Choco Emong
  • Matcha Emong
  • Red Bean Emong

Each shaved-ice dessert is finished with additional toppings, creating a refreshing twist on one of Korea’s favorite summer treats. Visitors can also purchase chilled Emong drinks on-site.

Limited Summer Merchandise

Starting July 23, customers who follow Namyang Dairy’s official social media accounts and upload verification posts can receive limited-edition summer merchandise while supplies last.

Available promotional items include:

  • Dust bags
  • Inflatable travel pillows

The company is also offering a Hangang Swimming Pool Package that combines:

  • Swimming pool admission
  • Bingsu coupons
  • Exclusive merchandise

Choco Emong Remains Korea’s Best-Selling Chocolate Milk

Originally launched in 2011, Choco Emong continues to dominate Korea’s chocolate flavored milk market.

According to Nielsen Korea, the brand recorded a 24.9% share of Korea’s offline chocolate milk market in 2025, maintaining the No. 1 position for the fourth consecutive year.

The Emong lineup has continued expanding with new flavors, including:

  • Matcha Emong
  • Red Bean Emong
  • Sugar-Free Choco Emong Mini

The recently launched Red Bean Emong first tested consumer demand through Kakao Makers before expanding sales to major online platforms such as Naver and Coupang.

Why It Matters

Summer pop-ups combining iconic Korean food brands with popular destinations have become a growing trend. By bringing frozen Emong desserts to one of Seoul’s busiest outdoor attractions, Namyang Dairy is transforming a familiar convenience-store drink into a memorable seasonal K-food experience for both locals and international visitors.
